Tomáš Lapáček

Chief Manager

Tomáš Lapáček is an Innovation Manager and the Head of the main project “Prague Smart Accelerator”. Prior to joining the Prague Innovation Institute, he was working for almost four years at the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague (IPR) as the Strategy and Policy Section Director. The task of his section at IPR was to analyse and design better amenities and the strategic plan for the metropolis.

From 2012 to 2017 he managed the EU translation section at the PRESTO Translation Centre. Prior to this managerial job, he worked at the Ministry of the Environment, at first as Advisor to the Minister for European Affairs and then in the EU and Environmental Policy Department. Besides other engagements, he was also an assistant to Josef Zieleniec, Member of the European Parliament. He studied political science and international relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University.
